Whatnot is seeking a Director of Technical Recruiting to lead their EPD (Engineering, Product, and Design) recruiting efforts. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert, fostering a high-performance culture, driving structure in the hiring process, identifying top talent, and cultivating meaningful partnerships with EPD leaders.
Role Involves:
- Acting as the subject matter authority on EPD recruiting.
- Fostering a high-performance culture within the recruiting team.
- Driving structure and consistency across the hiring process.
- Identifying exceptional, mission-aligned candidates.
- Empowering the team to think beyond traditional hiring methods.
- Setting a high bar for execution and coaching the team.
- Championing candidate experience and hiring efficiency.
- Cultivating meaningful partnerships with Engineering, Product, and Design leaders.
Requirements:
- Deep experience hiring across Engineering, Product, and/or Design.
- Experience building and leading high-performing recruiting teams.
- Experience building or evolving recruiting programs and processes.
- Passion for building diverse, inclusive teams.
- Ability to take ownership and move fast.
- Knowledge of how to craft standout candidate experiences.
- Data literacy and ability to use data to guide strategy.
- Must be within commuting distance of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, or New York City hubs.
