Macro Quantitative Analyst at Point72

A discretionary macro investment team at Point72 is seeking a Quantitative Analyst/Developer to enhance quantitative methods for portfolio analysis and management within EM Asia and DM FX and rates markets. The role involves working closely with quants and senior team members, gaining exposure to the investment process.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, upgrade, and develop portfolio, risk management, and pre-trade analytical tools.
• Ensure data updates and infrastructure reliability.
• Improve existing infrastructure across Python/Excel and develop new tools.
• Work with internal teams to improve data quality and analytical infrastructure.
• Incorporate quantitative pre-trade analysis and portfolio structuring analysis.
• Collaborate with other quants, PMs, and analysts on ad-hoc projects.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline or highly quantitative undergraduate degrees with the right work experience.
• High proficiency in Python, Excel, and VBA.
• Experience building scalable full-stack web applications is a plus.
• Able to build Excel interfaces to present analytical output in a user friendly and flexible way.
• Knowledge of financial products across rates & FX.
• Familiarity with extracting data from external APIs and internal databases.
• Experienced in developing and maintaining high-quality, reliable Python infrastructure with Excel interfaces.
• Understanding of role from a commercial perspective.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to take ownership of work.
