Point72 is looking for a senior programmer/developer to join a newly formed team focused on convertible bond and capital structure arbitrage. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the core data infrastructure and trading systems from scratch.
Responsibilities involve:
- Designing and implementing core data infrastructure and trading systems.
- Developing data pipelines for financial market data.
- Building scalable trading algorithms.
- Creating tools for backtesting, risk management, and performance analysis.
- Collaborating with team members.
- Establishing best practices for software development.
Requirements include:
- 10+ years of software development experience
- 7+ years in financial institutions.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of building large-scale financial software systems.
- Deep understanding of financial markets.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python.
- Strong background in distributed systems and high-performance computing.
- Familiarity with financial regulations.
