Senior Software Engineer, Payments at Blockchain.com

Blockchain.com is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Payments team in Paris. This role involves building financial and crypto-native products and APIs, contributing to the construction of a future open financial system. The Senior Back-End Engineer will drive technical discussions, influence approaches, and advocate for engineering practices. The Senior Software Engineer will be part of brokerage payment team enabling blockchain customers to deposit and withdraw in the blockchain app.

• Develop and integrate APIs from new and existing payment providers, banks and other third parties across multiple countries.
• Work with FinOps team and payment providers to resolve customer issues.
• Advocate for best practices, code quality, and test coverage.
• Optimize existing systems for scalability and performance.
• Ensure security.
• Work within interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality software.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• 7+ years of experience in building highly-available backend systems.
• Experience with JVM-based languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala).
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Strong test coverage and documentation skills.
• Exposure to technologies like Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis is preferred.
• Passion for crypto.
