L/S Equities Data Analyst

Job Description

Point72 is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join their Long/Short Equities team in London. The role involves working directly with a portfolio manager and research analysts to leverage data for investment decisions.

• Analyze various Compliance-approved data to influence investment decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain data products and predictive models for KPIs.
• Investigate innovative approaches to extract information from complex datasets.
• Develop agile, automated systems for real-time data analysis and insights.
• Optimize and scale existing data infrastructure for handling high-volume data.
• Develop and maintain high-quality code and data pipelines.
• Stay updated on the newest technologies approved for use across the firm.
• Partner with Compliance on aspects related to data sources and analytics.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or higher.
• Quantitative ability.
• Experience with diverse data types (structured, unstructured, time-series).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts.
• Coding skills in a high-level programming language (e.g., Python, R).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Strong data visualization skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business questions into data-driven solutions.
