Frontend Engineer

Job Description

Wallapop, a Barcelona-based scale-up, is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the evolution of Wallapop's web applications, building both customer-facing web apps and internal tools. This role involves taking ownership of all stages of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What this role involves:

• Building and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.
• Transforming designs into reusable UI components.
• Writing maintainable and testable code.
• Collaborating with peers during code reviews.
• Optimizing web applications for performance and scalability.
• Working with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
• Driving the web platform across the company.

Requirements:

• Experience building large-scale web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and Node.js.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks and libraries, particularly React (Next.js preferred) and Angular.
• Understanding of UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate in an agile environment.
• Strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
