iOS Engineer - Platform at Wallapop

Wallapop, a Barcelona based scale-up, is seeking an enthusiastic iOS Engineer to join their Platform team. The ideal candidate will contribute to a connected trade ecosystem, making 2nd-hand the norm through smart use of technology.

The iOS Engineer will work within Wallapop to address challenges with a 10+ year-old codebase and a team of 18+ iOS developers. They operate currently in Spain, Italy and Portugal.

What this role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable solutions for Wallapop's modular architecture.
• Working on continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Python and Bitrise.
• Developing and maintaining automation tools for improving developer productivity.
• Creating and improving monitoring systems for key metrics and performance indicators.
• Collaborating across different technical stacks to establish best practices and architectural guidelines.
• Driving technical decisions impacting iOS and other platforms.
• Assisting teams in adopting their testing infrastructure.
• Identifying and resolving engineering bottlenecks.
• Using data-driven approaches to enhance development processes.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Swift and iOS development.
• Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable code.
• Experience in large modular codebases with multiple teams.
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
