AP Accountant at Wallapop

Wallapop, a Barcelona-based scale-up, is seeking an AP Accountant to efficiently manage a high volume of transactions for Spain's largest second-hand marketplace. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department.

Role Involves:

• Manage the full AP cycle, including processing vendor invoices.
• Post recurring monthly accruals and reconcile accrual accounts.
• Review monthly P&L reports and analyze variances.
• Review the AP aging report and ensure timely payments.
• Support monthly tax returns, including VAT and IRPF.
• Prepare the AP monthly dashboard and contribute to month-end close.
• Provide audit support and actively participate in process automation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in Accounts Payable and/or General Ledger.
• Comprehensive understanding of Spanish GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with major accounting software systems; NetSuite is highly desirable.
• Advanced level in Spanish and English.
