Senior Data Scientist - Search

Job Description

Wallapop, a Barcelona-based company, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing Data Science team. The ideal candidate will work on initiatives aimed at improving the whole marketplace dynamics, including search and recommendations. He will collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and Analysts to understand product requirements and develop data and ML solutions.

What this role involves:

• Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets.
• Developing and implementing machine learning models.
• Working with multidisciplinary Product teams.
• Owning initiatives from start to deployment.
• Proactively suggesting, researching, and prototyping new ideas.
• Communicating complex data insights.

• Bachelor or MsC degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong coding skills in Python.
• Experience building complex data products and ML solutions.
• Experience with common libraries and frameworks.
• Advanced in SQL.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working with Search & Ranking models.
