Job Description
Perplexity is seeking a Data Scientist to enhance its growth marketing strategies. The role involves collaborating with various teams to provide data-driven insights, optimize marketing campaigns, and refine user segmentation. The Data Scientist will analyze paid acquisition channels, social media performance, and marketing spend to maximize reach and effectiveness. They will also design and interpret A/B tests, define key marketing metrics, and develop data models to improve analytics efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with Growth, Marketing, Product Marketing, and Enterprise Growth teams.
- Analyzing paid acquisition channels and campaigns.
- Conducting analysis on social media performance and marketing spend.
- Leading lightweight user research.
- Designing, implementing, and interpreting A/B tests.
- Defining, implementing, and visualizing key marketing metrics.
- Developing data models and pipelines.
Requirements include:
- 4+ years of experience as a data scientist or related role.
- Experience with product marketing, paid acquisition, SEO, social and/or lifecycle marketing.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI and visualization tools.
- Experience designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B tests.
- Self-starter who thrives with open-ended problems.
- Experience with data modeling (e.g., dbt, Airflow).
