Job Description

AB InBev is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer to join their Growth Group in Campinas, Brazil. The Growth Group unifies AB InBev's business-to-business (B2B), direct-to-consumer (DTC), Sales & Distribution, and Marketing teams. The role involves contributing to technical discussions, taking ownership of medium-complexity backend tasks, and actively contributing to the Backend Chapter.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay aligned with Engineering Managers for decentralized technical decisions.
  • Contribute to technical discussions, making suggestions for improvements in architecture, performance, and user experience.
  • Talk and elaborate ideas and raise issues for both technical and non-technical people.
  • Take ownership of medium-complexity backend tasks, delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Be responsible for identifying and helping to solve technical issues, bugs, and tech debt.
  • Actively contribute to the Backend Chapter, sharing knowledge and proposing technical improvements.
  • Support communication and alignment across squads.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to enhance processes and tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Solid experience in at least one programming language and its main frameworks Node.js, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with SQL databases (strong understanding).
  • Good understanding of software architecture concepts (Clean Architecture, Hexagonal, Onion) and architectural styles (Microservices, SOA, Event-driven).
  • Experience working with APIs and integrations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing practices (TDD, BDD), and version control (Git/GitHub).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and infrastructure as code tools.
  • Experience with monitoring, metrics, and observability tools.
  • Agile mindset and experience working in agile teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proactive and self-driven: able to work independently while knowing when to ask for support.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic context.
  • Open to interacting with international teams.
