Collectors is seeking a Lead Software Developer in Test/SDET to lead functional and automation testing efforts across multiple products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust testing frameworks and continuously raising the bar on software quality. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish testing strategies that encompass both manual and automated testing methodologies. The role involves contributing to the existing automated testing framework to ensure all edge cases and scenarios are captured and tests are integrated with the development pipeline.

What this role involves:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive QA strategy.
  • Defining quality standards, methodologies, and processes.
  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams to gather requirements.
  • Overseeing test case creation, test execution, and defect management.
  • Leading and coordinating the testing process for new product features.
  • Implementing reliable and repeatable QA processes and tools.
  • Planning and driving improvements to the automation and performance test framework.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting incidents and testing fixes.
  • Making recommendations for system features and improvements.
  • Owning the customer experience.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Engineering.
  • 7+ years of QA test automation experience.
  • 3+ years of setting up load/performance test frameworks.
  • 3+ years of CI/CD experience integrating automation solutions into the DevOps pipeline.
  • 3+ years of AWS cloud solutions experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and STLC.
  • API testing experience using Karate, Postman, Soap UI, or similar tools.
  • Mobile testing experience using Appium and Lambdatest or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of containerization tools and technologies using Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and realtime datastream and message stream frameworks like Apache Kafka.
  • Strong experience in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with load and performance testing tools like Gatling, K6, JMeter, Loadrunner, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Jira and GIT.
  • Self-motivated with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
