Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

LearnUpon is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Platform Engineering group. The ideal candidate will help build best-in-class tooling and CI/CD pipelines, enabling product engineering teams to deliver work at a fast pace with full automation. This role requires a mix of technical skills, a solid understanding of web application development and deployment, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across multiple teams and locations.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with CI/CD pipeline improvements including pipeline design and implementation (e.g. GitLab, GitHub, etc.)
• Supporting containerised development environments (in Docker and Kubernetes with Golang)
• Liaising with Engineering teams on infrastructure/pipeline requirements and good practices
• Utilize Terraform and other IaC tools to provision and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Handling integrations to better automate the full SDLC (e.g. Jira, Git, and CI/CD tooling)
• Promote DevOps culture and practices within the organization
• Supporting automation teams to improve the testing done as part of the CI/CD pipeline

Requirements:

• 4+ years professional experience in a relevant DevOps role
• Strong scripting experience (Bash, GoLang, Python etc.)
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Packer
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
• Proficiency in CI/CD tooling such as Gitlab, Github, Jenkins
• Experience in containerisation technologies, Docker and Kubernetes
• Good project management and time management skills
• Excellent communicator to liaise with multiple teams across multiple locations
