Model Validation Associate

Job Description

FalconX is seeking a Model Validation Associate to ensure the accuracy and reliability of risk models. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in validating and enhancing the firm's risk modeling capabilities across various products and entities. FalconX operates at the intersection of traditional finance and cutting-edge technology, providing solutions for digital asset strategies.

Role Involves:

• Conducting model validation and model risk governance.
• Developing model validation methodologies.
• Reviewing model assessments, changes, and monitoring results.
• Maintaining documentation and reports of validation results.
• Communicating findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Engaging with business stakeholders for model attestation.
• Monitoring remediation actions for findings and policy exceptions.
• Improving model identification processes.
• Supporting enhancements to the model risk management framework.
• Supporting audits and examinations, and leading remediation efforts.
• Developing and enhancing model risk metrics reports.

Requirements:

• BS or equivalent degree in relevant fields.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management or related domains.
• Knowledge in model valuation and development.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CECL, IFRS9, SR11-7).
• Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, PowerBI, and Office suite.
• Familiarity with programming languages (Python, R, VBA, SQL).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
