Senior Risk Management Associate, Derivatives

Job Description

FalconX is seeking a Senior Risk Management Associate to join their Derivatives Team. The candidate will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks associated with the company’s derivatives trading activities, ensuring FalconX maintains its competitive edge while safeguarding against potential market and operational risks.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting risk assessments for derivatives products.
• Analyzing derivatives market trends and regulatory developments.
• Developing and implementing risk metrics and monitoring tools.
• Performing stress tests on the derivatives portfolio.
• Preparing risk reports for senior management.
• Collaborating with traders and portfolio managers on risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal risk policies.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance risk management processes.
• Working collaboratively with other teams, including Trading, Research, Compliance, and Legal.
• Continuously updating your knowledge of risk management practices, financial instruments, and technologies in the derivatives space.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably with exposure to derivatives trading.
• Experience working in a financial institution or financial services start-up.
• Self-motivated, with great initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
