Job Description

NetEase, a leading Internet company in China, is seeking a contract Infrastructure Engineer to join their Canada IT team. The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining the digital backbone that connects the game studios and teams. He will ensure developers and staff have fast, reliable connections to create games without technical issues.

• Designing and maintaining network architectures.
• Configuring and optimizing network equipment.
• Implementing and managing network security measures.
• Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Maintaining on-premise and cloud servers.
• Collaborating with game development teams.
• Establishing and maintaining network documentation.
• Performing capacity planning and bandwidth management.
• Implementing disaster recovery protocols.
• Researching and evaluating emerging network technologies.
• Providing technical guidance on network-related projects.
• Coordinating with third-party service providers.

• 3+ years of network engineering experience.
• Proficiency in configuring enterprise-grade network equipment (Cisco, Fortigate, etc.).
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S).
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Knowledge of load balancing technologies and CDNs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in French, English, and Chinese (preferred).
