Staff Engineer

Job Description

Reltio is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Core Platform development team in Bangalore. This individual will play a senior role, technically leading feature delivery and mentoring junior engineers. The Staff Engineer will collaborate with architects, QA, and PMs to deliver high-quality work, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and documentation. They will also be responsible for making technical decisions and providing support for areas under their responsibility.

Role involves:
• Presenting solutions to architects
• Driving feature delivery and making technical decisions
• Distributing tasks among engineers
• Reviewing testing approaches and test plans
• Creating internal feature documentation
• Complex features development
• Code review and mentoring
• Providing code coverage in unit and integration testing
• Professional communication with cross-functional teams
• Sustenance in areas of responsibility

Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application design and development
• 5+ years of experience in backend applications development
• Proven ability to deliver solutions and engage with customers
• 3-5 years of experience building scalable distributed data systems using Java and Cloud Technology
• Strong Java knowledge (Java 8 and above)
• Experience with Amazon AWS, Azure or GCP and its services (Preferred)
• Experience with Managed databases and Queue services (Preferred)
• Experience in cloud security principles (Preferred)
• Experience with Kubernetes (Preferred)
• Experience with Big Data Technologies (Preferred)
• MS in computer science or equivalent experience (Preferred)
