Job Description
SmartBear is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Product Support Test Hub team. This role is crucial for addressing customer-escalated issues and participating in the ongoing transformation of Test Hub. The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Support Manager and work to resolve critical customer issues, communicate status updates, and mitigate risks. They will also debug application code, provide patches, and collaborate with engineering, QA, and support teams.Role responsibilities include:
- Solving customer escalated issues promptly.
- Debug the customer issue using the application code.
- Providing patches for customers when required.
- Interacting with Engineering, QA, and Support teams on escalated cases.
- Providing detailed RCA on problems.
Requirements:
- 4-7 years of hands-on experience with Java 8 or higher.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to debug within application code and provide solutions.
- Strong communication skills for technical explanations to customers.
- Willingness to provide on-demand weekend support.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts and on-call.
