Data Analyst

Job Description

Platform Science is seeking a Data Analyst to transform raw data into strategic insights for the Product, Engineering, and Leadership teams. The Data Analyst will serve as the primary point of contact for the Data Team, advocating for data-informed decision-making across the company. The Data Analyst will also mentor and develop the data team by improving their technical abilities and processes.Role responsibilities include:

• Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends in complex datasets using a modern data stack (dbt, Snowflake, Looker).
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to define and analyze meaningful KPIs.
• Applying expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization, and data mining to create data alerts and actionable insights.
• Filtering, cleaning, and transforming data from various sources to enable analysis.
• Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.

Requirements include:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
• 2+ years of experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Domo, etc.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Technical expertise in data mining, modeling, transforming, cleansing, and validating.
• Ability to translate vague requests into concise deliverables.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or equivalent experience.
