Tax Lead, Management Company

Job Description

Point72 is seeking a Tax Lead to oversee domestic and international tax efforts for its asset management companies. The Tax Lead will report to tax team.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the US tax compliance process.
• Overseeing non-US tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Providing tax advice on employee compensation, R&D, capital expenditures, and more.
• Representing the tax team in meetings.
• Reviewing tax workpapers and identifying automation opportunities.
• Responding to tax audits.
• Monitoring legislative changes.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of progressive work experience in operating company taxation within the asset management industry
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA license
• Knowledge of technical issues such as IRC §174 capitalization, research and development credits, GILTI, foreign tax credit planning, personal vs. business use of aircraft, deferred compensation, employee fringe benefits, fixed asset depreciation, Pillar Two, and transfer pricing
• State and local tax experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience
• Automation and process improvement experience
• Expertise with respect to foreign (non-U.S.) activities
• Effective communication skills
• Commitment to ethical standards
