Job Description
LearnUpon is seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist to join their team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the Dublin office. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and smooth payroll processing and reporting, contributing to the company's financial operations.
Role Involves:
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of payroll and payments across international locations.
- Liaising with and managing external third-party payroll providers.
- Managing all payroll components, including benefits in kind, bonuses, and statutory payments.
- Administering employee benefits, including Tax Saver schemes and pension contributions.
- Ensuring payroll reconciliation, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll issues.
- Performing updates to payroll-related information and managing overall payroll workflow.
- Ownership and maintenance of master payroll file across all jurisdictions.
- Month-end reporting, including preparation of payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Leading process improvement projects to save time and improve accuracy.
- Calculating R&D tax credits and employee grants applications.
- Implementing a payroll consolidation tool.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years’ experience processing payroll in an accounts department.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and process large volumes of data accurately.
- Proficient in data entry.
- Understanding of payroll and taxation requirements across multiple locations (Ireland, USA, Serbia, Australia).
- Confident using systems, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and administration skills.
- Interest in process improvement and automation.
