Job Description

LearnUpon is seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist to join their team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days per week in the Dublin office. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and smooth payroll processing and reporting, contributing to the company's financial operations.

Role Involves:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of payroll and payments across international locations.
  • Liaising with and managing external third-party payroll providers.
  • Managing all payroll components, including benefits in kind, bonuses, and statutory payments.
  • Administering employee benefits, including Tax Saver schemes and pension contributions.
  • Ensuring payroll reconciliation, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll issues.
  • Performing updates to payroll-related information and managing overall payroll workflow.
  • Ownership and maintenance of master payroll file across all jurisdictions.
  • Month-end reporting, including preparation of payroll journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Leading process improvement projects to save time and improve accuracy.
  • Calculating R&D tax credits and employee grants applications.
  • Implementing a payroll consolidation tool.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience processing payroll in an accounts department.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and process large volumes of data accurately.
  • Proficient in data entry.
  • Understanding of payroll and taxation requirements across multiple locations (Ireland, USA, Serbia, Australia).
  • Confident using systems, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and administration skills.
  • Interest in process improvement and automation.
