Job Description
Verkada is seeking an A&E Business Development Manager in NYC to expand its presence and revenue within major commercial real estate ventures. This individual will cultivate and sustain strategic alliances with key stakeholders, including Commercial Real Estate firms and A&E Consultants, alongside General Contractors and Large Electrical/Low Voltage Contractors. The role is pivotal in steering specification initiatives and ensuring Verkada's solutions are integrated into large-scale projects during the design, preconstruction, and bidding phases.

Role Involves:
  • Building relationships with Commercial Real Estate Firms, A&E Consultants, General Contractors, and Large Electrical & Low-Voltage Contractors.
  • Collaborating with the NYC Sales Team and the A&E Program team on pipeline development and project pursuit.
  • Coordinating with Channel teams and local partners to support proposal and bidding efforts.
  • Tracking NYC market metrics and pipeline progress.
  • Maintaining detailed records of engagement, opportunity generation, and specifications.

Requirements:
  • Strong relationships with NYC-based commercial real estate firms, A&E consultants, GCs and subcontractors.
  • Experience selling technology, hardware, or equipment into major projects in NYC.
  • Ability to influence design and spec decisions during preconstruction and bidding stages.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven track record of pipeline development and driving complex sales cycles.
