Job Description
Newsweek is seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology & Systems to oversee the company’s technology operations. The role involves leading multiple teams and support functions across the entire organization, reporting to the CTO. The ideal candidate should possess a robust technical background with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing technology operations and evaluating them against established goals.
- Developing and implementing IT strategies and roadmaps.
- Leading IT systems, security, infrastructure, and support teams.
- Maintaining IT policies and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Analyzing departmental technology needs.
- Managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
- Monitoring IT performance and addressing risks.
Requirements:
- BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or a related field; MS/MA is a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in IT management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in IT systems analysis, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong experience in hardware/software systems, networks, IT security, and infrastructure.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects.
- Strong organizational, operational, and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication skills.
