Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Business Analyst to join their Back Office Technology team, focusing on the SS&C Advent Geneva platform. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between Accounting Operations users, Geneva Support, and Development. He/she will use their portfolio accounting expertise and Geneva knowledge to facilitate communication and troubleshoot accounting-related issues, managing system upgrades and portfolio reinitializations. The role involves resolving discrepancies in Geneva reporting, providing responses to inquiries about Geneva and its accounting life cycle implementation, and collaborating with SS&C to implement new financial products and explore innovative Geneva features.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact between Accounting Operations users, Geneva Support, and Development
  • Leveraging portfolio accounting expertise and Geneva knowledge to facilitate communication, troubleshoot issues, and manage system upgrades
  • Resolving trial balance, valuation, general ledger, and profit and loss discrepancies in Geneva reporting
  • Providing responses to inquiries regarding Geneva and its implementation of the Accounting Life Cycle
  • Working closely with SS&C to support the firm in implementing new financial products
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience working with the Geneva accounting system
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information technology, or a related field
  • Experience modeling new financial products for valuation and reporting in Geneva
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret complex financial instruments, data, and transactions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in the investment management or financial services industry
