Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Description

Beast Industries is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee critical infrastructure across multiple properties in Greenville, NC. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing building maintenance, fleet operations, warehouse inventory, and emergency repairs across seven properties. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, quick-thinking leader with a hands-on approach and a strong foundation in technical building systems.Role involves:

• Overseeing the maintenance and daily operations of multiple commercial buildings.
• Coordinating and managing contractors, vendors, and internal support teams.
• Leading the upkeep of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and fire safety systems.
• Handling emergency maintenance issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Taking a hands-on approach to repairs.
• Managing warehouse inventory, tool organization, and supply systems.
• Overseeing fleet vehicles, including routine maintenance and repairs.
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, fire safety codes, and facility safety standards.
• Supervising the safe handling of propane and other flammable materials.
• Maintaining and enforcing best practices around workplace safety, cleanliness, and organization.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in facilities management, commercial property maintenance, or related operations roles.
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, electrical, and fire systems.
• Strong Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commercial building compliance.
• Comfortable operating hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment.
• Experience managing multiple contractors and overseeing large-scale repairs or upgrades.
• Knowledge of fleet vehicles and the ability to coordinate basic repairs and servicing.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Highly organized with strong budgeting and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Forklift certified (or willing to become certified).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Based in Greenville, NC and widely available for on-call emergencies.
