Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Data Loss Prevention Engineer to join its Global Technology Team in New York. The candidate will lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategy across cloud and on-premises environments. The role involves architecting and deploying DLP solutions, developing data classification frameworks, and optimizing DLP policies. The engineer collaborates with the Security Operations team, assesses DLP effectiveness, and provides technical guidance.
  • Leading the design and implementation of a comprehensive DLP strategy.
  • Architecting and deploying DLP solutions including Microsoft Purview and M365 DLP.
  • Developing and maintaining data classification frameworks and taxonomies, leveraging automation.
  • Configuring, tuning, and optimizing DLP policies across multiple platforms.
  • Partnering with the Security Operations team to operationalize monitoring, alerting and response actions to DLP events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing and managing DLP solutions.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Purview and M365 DLP capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of data classification methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Varonis or other Enterprise DSPM platforms.
  • Experience with endpoint DLP via Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Familiarity with End-User Behavior Analytics (EUBA) and Insider Risk Management processes and tools.
  • Extensive experience with DLP in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) related to data protection.
  • Experience integrating DLP tools with SIEM and related security monitoring and alerting platforms.
