Point72 is seeking a talented Mid-Level Data Scientist to join their Data Analytics team. The Data Scientist will play a crucial role in generating and automating key metrics, working with cross-functional teams to source data, produce actionable insights, and create visualizations that drive business decisions. This role demands a blend of technical skills, analytical skills, as well as independent work ethic.

The role involves:

• Developing and automating key metrics to support business objectives.
• Sourcing, cleaning, and integrating data from various sources.
• Performing data analysis using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Creating and maintaining dashboards and visualizations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
• Writing and maintaining efficient code in R and Python.
• Documenting processes and code for reproducibility.
• Staying updated with the latest trends in data science.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role.
• Proven track record of driving metrics generation and automation.
• Proficiency in R and Python for data analysis.
• Experience with data manipulation libraries such as pandas and numpy.
• Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
