Job Description

Yext, in collaboration with Hearsay Systems, is seeking a Medior Software Engineer to join their Budapest Engineering Team. This role involves building scalable, high-performance systems for digital engagement for enterprise brands. The engineer will use technologies like Python, Kotlin, and React to design, build, and maintain secure, reliable services. They will also collaborate with experienced engineers to boost performance and streamline development workflows.

This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility to work from home with an expectation of being on-site at least one day per week.

What this role involves:

• Designing and implementing scalable, high-performing solutions.
• Debugging, reviewing, and refining code.
• Collaborating with product and engineering leads to shape priorities and contribute to roadmap planning.
• Improving team processes and development practices.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented principles (OOP) and design patterns.
• 3+ years of experience using Python, Java, C++, or C#.
• Experience in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Backbone, or Underscore.
• Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and core web technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of relational database management.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS).
• Commitment to clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Fluent in English and Hungarian, with excellent communication skills.
