Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Linux Security Engineer to join their Technology team in New York, NY. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security controls for enterprise Linux environments, both on-premise and in the cloud. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met and also provide technical guidance on Linux security best practices.
Role involves:
- Designing and implementing security controls for Linux environments
- Leading security architecture decisions for Linux infrastructure
- Developing automation scripts for security compliance
- Managing container security strategies
- Architecting and maintaining Linux system authentication mechanisms
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise Linux environments (RHEL, RPM-based)
- Expertise in Linux security principles
- Experience with Ansible automation and shell scripting
- Experience with Linux authentication systems and container technologies (Docker, Podman)
- Familiarity with privileged access management tools and Linux firewall configuration
- Experience across both on-premise and cloud environments
