Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Messaging Engineer to join their global Collaboration Technology Engineering team. The individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions that improve the organization’s ability to collaborate effectively across regions and time zones.He/She will manage Exchange, Proofpoint Email Gateway, and M365 services, integrate various platforms, enforce security policies, and ensure service resilience. The Messaging Engineer will also stay current with emerging technologies and foster a collaborative culture.What this role involves:
  • Managing Exchange 2016/2019 infrastructure, including upgrades and migrations.
  • Managing Proofpoint Email Gateway and MTA services for secure email delivery.
  • Administering M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Administering and optimizing Symphony and Slack for seamless communication.
  • Integrating Exchange Online, Symphony, and Slack with third-party services.
  • Implementing and enforcing security, compliance, and data governance policies.
  • Ensuring service resilience and data backup/recovery processes.
  • Documenting operational procedures and architecture diagrams.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies in email and collaboration tools.
  • Leading the development of a collaborative and productive culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience working with Exchange environments, including Office 365 and Exchange Online.
  • Strong knowledge of Proofpoint Mail Relay and email security best practices.
  • Proven experience in designing and architecting Exchange infrastructures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
