Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their Technology team. The role is operational and involves applying software and systems engineering skills to maintain real-time systems for the Global Macro business. The SRE will focus on optimizing existing systems through automation and tooling.
  • Building foundational technical components for the SRE program.
  • Collaborating with development and quant teams to ensure change aligns with SLOs.
  • Monitoring system capacity and performance, addressing bottlenecks and instabilities.
  • Reviewing automation code to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting system issues, analyzing their impact.
  • Participating in design reviews, selecting technologies and automation strategies.
Requirements include:
  • Previous experience as a site reliability engineer or similar.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell, with C# comprehension.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux, cloud services (AWS), infrastructure as code (Terraform), andconfiguration management (Ansible).
  • Experience with container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS and ECS.
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills and ownership.
