Job Description

Point72 is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Back Office Technology Team. This role involves modernizing and scaling the platform through technology upgrades, cloud adoption, and re-architecting business processes.

The Software Engineer will work with world-class engineers to develop high-capacity integrations and development capabilities, implement new financial products, manage data, and develop a future data warehouse.

What this role involves:

  • Building software applications and delivering software enhancements.
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to develop software solutions using agile methodologies.
  • Assuming responsibility for system upgrades, automation, and integration with vendors.
  • Working with DevOps teams to manage operational issues and leverage CI/CD platforms.
  • Continuously improving platforms using the latest technologies.
  • Participating in initiatives to transition applications to cloud platforms.
  • Developing close working relationships with other technology teams.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience with .Net technologies.
  • Strong SQL development and experience developing large-scale data warehouses.
  • Experience developing projects based on messaging architectures.
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful services.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies.
