Software Engineer, Controller's Technology at Point72

Point72 is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Controller's Technology team in Warsaw. The role involves innovating and enhancing the P&L reporting system used by the Controllers and Valuation Team within the Finance department. The Software Engineer will use their programming expertise to design, develop, and support ETL, data warehouse, process flow, PnL validation and adjustment tools, and PnL reporting framework, contributing to the modernization of the P&L reporting platform and streamlining business processes.Responsibilities include:

• Building analytical tools on a next-generation technology platform.
• Developing a quantitative understanding of P&L processes and data flow.
• Innovating and improving capabilities to deliver high-quality products.
• Solving complex problems using creative solutions and the latest technology.

Requirements:

• Strong data engineering, analytics, ETL, and reconciliation skills using T-SQL, Python, Airflow, etc.
• Training in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of programming experience.
• End-to-end system design, development, support, and user coordination experience.
• Strong development skills using Python or C#.
• Strong data visualization skills using JS/React, etc.
• Experience in the financial industry working with Risk, valuation, or trading systems is a plus.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
