Software Engineer, Macro Front Office Technology

Job Description

Point72 is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Macro Front Office Technology team. This role involves delivering quant analytics and software solutions for Point72’s Global Macro business. The ideal candidate will have strong coding and mathematical skills, as well as experience in P&L/Risk or Front Office Development. Role responsibilities include:

• Developing and integrating quant analytics and software solutions into the technology stack for the Global Macro business.
• Creating P&L and risk analytics tools.
• Building scalable and robust front-to-back solutions.
• Supporting downstream consumers, including Portfolio Management, Risk, and Valuations teams.
• Enhancing real-time and end-of-day valuation processes.
• Improving overall business efficiency through automation.
• Developing P&L and risk analytics of existing and new products.
• Building interactive tools to analyze existing and hypothetical portfolios.
• Integrating tools in business-critical applications used for real-time and official EOD/EOM valuation.
• Developing scalable, robust, and high-performance front-to-back solutions by integrating proprietary technology with vendor systems, cloud technology, and data engineering.
• Proactively automating BAU processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer Science, engineering, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in finance, specifically in a P&L/Risk or front office development capacity
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C#, SQL, Python)
