Analytics Manager at Khan Academy

Khan Academy India is seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to foster a data-driven culture within their rapidly growing organization. The Analytics Manager will be instrumental in extracting insights from educational datasets and collaborating across teams to inform strategic and operational decisions. This role involves partnering with the India schools team to enhance product engagement and improve student outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

• Owning the development of metrics & KPIs, including trend analyses.
• Executing deep-dive analyses to uncover user insights across their lifecycle.
• Contributing to hypothesis-driven experimentation.
• Developing the organization’s data culture.
• Collaborating with the efficacy and research lead.
• Contributing to the development of analytics tools and data applications.
• Leading and mentoring a team of data analysts.
• Overseeing data collection, cleaning, validation, and warehousing.
• Ensuring data governance, security, and compliance.

Requirements:

• A passion for education and a desire to change the world.
• Background in applied math, statistics, economics, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years experience in data science or analytics.
• Strong SQL foundations & ability to manipulate data using Python.
• Strong data storytelling, visualization, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Willing to travel for work (est ~20% on average in the year).
