Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Technology Team in Warsaw, focusing on developing software tools and frameworks for the firm's Treasury department. The Software Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality software solutions, working closely with other teams to deliver effective and innovative tools.Role involves:
  • Developing an advanced analytical library in Python and popular open-source frameworks.
  • Using AWS, Apache Airflow, and Databricks to build ETL workflows.
  • Creating robust APIs to expose data to internal clients and services.
  • Collaborating with DevOps engineers to craft optimal infrastructure solutions.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience as a software developer or data engineer.
  • Excellent Python and software craftsmanship skills.
  • Knowledge of best practices of asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with any Python web framework (preferably FastAPI) as well as AsyncIO
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Familiarity with technologies for big data processing and storage.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
