Khan Academy India is seeking a Training Coordinator to design and deliver professional development initiatives for teachers, teacher mentors, and administrators within government school systems in Odisha. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing teacher capacity to effectively utilize Khan Academy's tools and resources.
This is a twelve-month contract-based role. The position is within the Schools Team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver synchronous and asynchronous capacity-building initiatives.
- Manage a team of master trainers in Odia languages and co-facilitate training sessions.
- Identify and document best practices and challenges, creating learning material.
- Use data to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training sessions.
- Collaborate with the Teacher Professional Development team to strengthen the existing framework.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years in designing and delivering training programs for teachers and education stakeholders in a government setting.
- Fluency in Odia and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Willingness to travel across the state up to 50% of the time.
- Passion for education.
- Strong communication skills.
- Candidates with additional language proficiency in Hindi would be preferred.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
