Point72 is seeking a Support and Operations Technical Expert to join its Technology team in Sydney. This role will be the face of Technology for the local user base and a key point of escalation for incident management.

The individual will provide hands-on technical support, application support, and insightful advice to clients. They will educate clients on new technologies, manage client expectations, and work with various teams to resolve issues.

Role Involves:

  • Acting as the face of Technology for the local user base in Sydney.
  • Providing hands-on technical support and application support.
  • Educating clients on new technologies and processes.
  • Managing client expectations and maintaining service level relationships.
  • Working with in-house and third-party teams to resolve client issues.
  • Documenting and tracking incidents using Jira Service Management.
  • Assisting in new hire onboarding and daily system checks.
  • Developing written project plans to manage projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in client service, desktop support, or technical support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience supporting investment professionals in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of market data and electronic trading platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Windows Server, Linux environment.
  • Self-motivated with great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide best-in-class customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adherence to the highest ethical standards.
