UI Developer, Macro Front Office Technology

Job Description

Point72 is seeking a UI Developer to join their Macro Front Office Technology team. The candidate will be responsible for building best-in-class features, components, and end-user applications for the consumption, manipulation, and visualization of analytics developed by the Macro Technology group. The primary users will be portfolio managers, Macro Management, Risk Management, and Valuations.

• Developing new features and components within an existing real-time React based application suite.
• Collaborating with product, design, and backend engineering teams to create intuitive and efficient user experiences.
• Optimizing third-party libraries for maximum performance across web-capable devices.
• Integrating real-time streams with the ability to dynamically slice and dice and visualize such data.
• Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving UI-related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a UI Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of React-based projects.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing and integration into third party visualization libraries.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, MobX, RxJS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
