Job Description

Point72 is seeking a UI Technical Lead to join their Macro Front Office Technology team. The successful candidate will lead a team in building features, components, and end-user applications for the consumption, manipulation, and visualization of analytics developed by the Macro Technology group. The primary users will be portfolio managers, Macro Management, Risk Management, and Valuations.

This role involves:

  • Overseeing collaboration with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering teams.
  • Executing an ambitious new feature roadmap.
  • Driving prioritization for small UI features.
  • Driving consistency of design from a UX perspective.
  • Driving efficiency in user experience.
  • Setting standards for architecture and code quality.
  • Training engineers on essential technologies.

The following skills and experience are required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience as a UI Technical Lead or similar role.
  • A strong track record of UI team building and the delivery of large and complex feature roadmaps, in a React-based context.
  • A strong attention to detail, and a passion for creating frictionless and aesthetically satisfying user interfaces.
  • Exceptional technical foundations in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript.
  • Deep understanding of real-time data processing and its integration into third party visualization libraries.
  • Deep understanding of the proper use of state management libraries such as Redux, MobX, RxJS.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to the highest ethical standards.
