Job Description
Point72 is seeking a Virtualization Engineer to manage and optimize its global virtual infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, scalability, and performance across multiple regions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to align virtual infrastructure capabilities with organizational needs.Responsibilities include:- Configuring and deploying VMware-based virtualization solutions.
- Performing VMware upgrades and capacity planning.
- Building out VMware environments in new data centers.
- Executing VMWare hardware refresh and data center migration projects.
- Automating provisioning and management of virtual infrastructure.
- Securing the virtual environment and developing disaster recovery plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience managing VMware technologies.
- Experience with VMWare upgrades, migrations and buildouts.
- Experience with mixed Windows and Linux server environments.
- Sound understanding of networking and storage solutions.
- Experience using VMware Aria Operations or similar.
