Niantic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Security to enhance the security of their products and infrastructure. This individual will join the security team and focus on security tooling and automation, contributing to the development and maintenance of security-related products and services. The ideal candidate should be proactive in designing and developing robust code, addressing technical debt, and resolving complex issues.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop security tooling and frameworks.
- Create web front-ends and backend infrastructure to enhance security.
- Provide services and libraries for cryptographic operations and data privacy.
- Automate security audits in code and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve software security throughout its lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience with a security focus.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, Golang, Python, C++, Javascript, Typescript.
- Understanding of Google Cloud Platform, Identity-Aware Proxy, authentication mechanisms, databases, GitLab, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and communicate effectively.
