Solutions Engineer-Federal

Job Description

Ditto is seeking a Solutions Engineer to assist government clients with Ditto integration. The role involves collaborating with skilled engineers and developers to resolve issues, provide product feedback, and contribute to documentation. The Solutions Engineer will also help customers launch mobile applications using Ditto, primarily focusing on the Department of Defense.

The Solutions Engineer will work closely with the Federal Team and project stakeholders to maximize value for both the customer and Ditto.

Responsibilities:

• Helping Ditto users solve complex issues.
• Being the expert on best practices for developing applications using Ditto at scale, mentoring customers
• Advocating for customers’ needs and working with engineering and product teams to debug and reproduce problem reports.
• Recognizing patterns and effectively categorizing and creating links between related issues and projects.

Requirements:

• Genuine desire to help people succeed with technology.
• Ability to rapidly learn new technical skills.
• Software development background in multiple languages (Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, Typescript, React Native, C#, Rust, Python).
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to read and understand stack traces, logs, and analytic graphs.
• Ability to compose feature requests and bug reports for the Ditto SDK.
• Comfort navigating operating systems using a shell/terminal/command-line.
• Ability to write simple reproduction scripts.
• U.S. Person Status is required

Nice to haves:

• Experience building libraries/frameworks/SDKs for Linux, iOS or Android platforms
• Experience contributing to open source projects
• Experience with operating and testing IP radios, TCP/IP protocol, and networking
• Knowledge of military communication systems across multiple platforms
• Prior experience with government customers
