Research Associate II - Formulation

Job Description

Simtra BioPharma Solutions is seeking a Research Associate II to join their team in Bloomington, Indiana. This role involves independently managing analytical method development, validation, and transfer projects, as well as formulation development projects for internal and external clients.Responsibilities include planning and executing technical tasks, evaluating new technologies, providing training and support to junior team members, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The Research Associate II will also contribute to technical feasibility analysis and evaluate results relative to product requirements.

• Independently manage analytical method and formulation development projects.
• Plan and execute technical tasks with multiple variables.
• Evaluate and adapt new technologies and techniques.
• Provide training and supervision to junior team members.
• Support department EMS and Quality Assurance initiatives.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant quality and regulatory requirements.

Candidates should possess a BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field, along with 2+ years of laboratory experience. Expertise in freeze-drying or analytical methods, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to use enterprise software are also required.
