Marketing Director, Demand Generation

Job Description

Smartling, a cloud-based, AI-enabled translation platform, is seeking a Marketing Director of Demand Generation to lead their demand generation efforts. This role reports to the CMO and involves strategy, optimization, and execution of marketing initiatives. The Director will collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and the marketing team to drive new business and growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning the strategy and execution of demand generation programs.
• Building and optimizing multi-channel campaigns.
• Partnering with sales leadership to define lead scoring.
• Collaborating with product marketing to develop messaging.
• Leading forecasting and reporting of pipeline contribution and campaign ROI.
• Managing and optimizing the marketing tech stack.
• Overseeing the performance and growth of a team.
• Testing and iterating on campaign strategy.
• Driving the strategy for ABM programs.

Requirements include:

• 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
• Proven track record of building and scaling multi-channel demand generation programs.
• Deep expertise in digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of marketing funnel metrics.
• Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems.
• Comfortable managing media budgets and optimizing ROI.
• Experience partnering with sales and SDR teams.
• Analytical mindset.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in a SaaS, tech, or startup environment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus.
