Job Description
Clutch, Canada's largest online used car retailer, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their growing team. This role involves assisting in the development and maintenance of data pipelines to support business reporting and analytics needs. The Data Engineer will work with ETL/ELT processes to clean, transform, and move data between systems reliably and efficiently.
The Data Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers to ensure data accuracy and integrity, monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, support data quality efforts, and contribute to the implementation of modern data architectures.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines.
- Work with ETL/ELT processes.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on data accuracy.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines.

- Contribute to the support of modern data architectures.
- Write documentation for data processes and pipeline logic.
- Learn and apply best practices in data security and performance.
- Use version control and CI/CD tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a data engineering, analytics, or related role.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Interest or experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Talend).
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
