Manufacturing Technician (Bioprocess) - Contract Role at Vow

Vow, a cultured meat company, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Sydney, Australia. This is a contract role lasting approximately 5 months, ending around August 2025. The technician will play a crucial role in establishing operations for Vow's stainless steel bioreactors, ranging in size from 200L to 20kL. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in bioprocessing, brewing, or food manufacturing and will contribute to operating the largest cultured meat production line in Australia.

The Manufacturing Technician will be involved in:

• Performing bioreactor setup tasks, including cleaning and sterilisation processes.
• Executing bioreactor cell culture activities, such as inoculation, media making, and harvesting.
• Monitoring cell cultures and performing other daily cell culture tasks.
• Performing general factory cleaning.

Requirements for this role include:

• Relevant hands-on experience in industries such as bioprocessing, brewing, fermentation, distilling, or food/beverage manufacturing, gained through tertiary study or practical work experience.
• Ability to excel in a team setting.
• Aptitude for learning quickly.
• Ability to efficiently complete tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• High attention to detail.
• Comfort with manual, labor-intensive, and repetitive work.
