Staff Software Engineer

Job Description

Radiant Security, a Bay Area Cyber AI Startup, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of AI-driven automations for their customers. This is a hybrid position based in Pleasanton, California, requiring attendance in the office three times a week.

The Staff Software Engineer will be instrumental in addressing challenges related to cost, scale, accuracy, and breadth in AI triage, investigation, and response.

What this role involves:

• Integrating LLMs against hundreds of external data sources.
• Scaling out the data platform at all levels.
• Leveraging retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) to improve AI outcomes.
• Improving Agentic AI services and the platform they run on.
• Automating the onboarding of new data sources.
• Prototyping and evaluating new AI features.

Radiant Security is looking for someone who has:

• Years of experience building complex backend applications.
• Strong experience with distributed systems and techniques for building fault-tolerant, high-availability platforms.
• Experience with ML algorithms, Real-time Analytics or LLMs (AI experience not required)
• Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
