The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI2) is seeking a Research Scientist to join the Perceptual Reasoning and Interaction Research team (PRIOR). This role involves working on research problems that improve vision and multimodal models, contributing to open foundation models, and experimenting with mobile robots. Role Involves: - Working on research problems to improve vision and multimodal models.
- Contributing to the development of open foundation models.
- Experimenting with mobile robots in the real world.
- Leading select projects and mentoring interns.
- Authoring and presenting scientific papers.
- Collaborating with researchers at other organizations.
- Contributing to open-source projects.
Requirements include: - A strong foundation (typically PhD level) in computer vision, machine learning, (M-)LLMs, foundation models, robotics, embodied AI, natural language processing, knowledge representation and reasoning, and/or agents.
- A strong publication record in AI-related areas.
- Strong software engineering skills with experience in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax).
