Senior Data Engineer at Creative Fabrica

Creative Fabrica, a fast-scaling tech start-up from Amsterdam, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing data team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building the next-generation data platform to support real-time analytics and personalized features.

The Senior Data Engineer will play a key role in designing and implementing new modules for the data platform, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet their data needs.

What this role involves:

• Developing key modules for the data platform, including event management, segmentation and personalization systems, data quality monitoring, observability tools, and data discoverability features.
• Building reliable, scalable data pipelines with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, freshness, and performance.
• Ensuring data is timely and meets the SLAs defined with business.
• Building integrations with product platforms, third-party services, and external data sources.
• Working closely with product, analytics, and machine learning engineers.
• Contributing to the long-term vision and architecture of the data stack.

Requirements:

• Experience building cloud-based data platforms (preferably on AWS).
• Hands-on experience using industry standards such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Presto or similar big data tools.
• Strong system design skills.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java and/or SQL, with experience using dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Experience with Kafka or other distributed event processing systems.
• User-centric mindset in developing data platforms.
• Strong communication skills.
• Continuous learning mindset.
